The NVH (Noise, vibration and harshness) of automobile is one of the important factors to evaluate its quality. With market competition becoming drastically, all of the automobile manufacturers pay attention to the work of reducing vibration and noise of it. Engine is one of most important vibration sources of automobile. Power train mounting system is the connection system between power train and frame, it's capability of vibration isolating is directly relation to the vibration transfer from engine to frame and body. So the design and research of automobile power train mounting system is an important procedure in reducing vibration and noise of automobile.This paper, based on the project of reducing the noise of a light truck, the vibration and noise of the truck is gotten by testing. The theory of design and research of power train mounting system is summarized, and the characteristic of each method is analyzed. As a result, using the uncoupling theory of energy method, and considering properly distributing of natural frequency, optimum design of power train mounting system is programmed. Then the dynamic simulation model of the power train mounting system is set up by the software ADAMS. Modal analysis, forced vibration analysis and parameter's sensitivity analysis are performed with this model. By contrast the dynamic performance of simulation before and after optimum design, the method has been proved feasible.
