The focus of this research is the CCD industrial camera mainly made up of AD9923A, CCD, MachXO2, CY7C68013 modules, among which AD9923A module can choose to work in Master Mode or Slave Mode, which are also the two important topics that will be discussed in the research.The article will start with each of the four main modules individually, introducing the basic information, the relevant principles together with the tools and methods to be used. After that it’s about the design process of CCD industrial camera system working in the master mode, including principles of the program, circuit board design process, method of writing driving timing, hardware debugging, software debugging, etc. Then presentation about the camera program under slave mode will be done on the basis of the master mode, including principles of the program, procedures related to FPGA design, implementation process of FPGA’s function, as well as the solving of practical problems, etc. I will also specificially describing the design and implementation process of external trigger, long exposure, flash control, and other functions regarding solutions of slave mode as major carriers, and analyze combining with the differences of single-field and multi-field mode, also the differences of the master and slave modes.Based on the research and analysis, I have designed a range of CCD camera programs, such as the originally designed U1 family program that is mainly made up of AD9923A, CCD, CY7C68013 modules and can only work in the master mode. Then the design of the program are made up of AD9923A, CCD, MachXO2, CY7C68013 modules, which can be subdivided into L-series program with a single block of board structure, U2 series of programs with the structure of two boards, and I-Series program of three board structure. The number of CCD models used is eight, containing ICX205AK, ICX252AQ, CX285AQ, ICX452AQ, ICX455AQA, ICX655AQA, etc., and each of which has passed the hardware and software debugging and proper image can be obtained.What’s more, external trigger, long exposure and other functions under the slave mode are also verified by.Through this series of trial and error, I have accumulated some experience in the design of CCD camera, several kinds of CCD industrial cameras have achieved mass production, and also the relevant feasibility and stability of the camera program under the master and slave mode have been verified.
