As the development of power electronic technology, more and more power electronic equipment have been used in the power grid, it generated a lot of harmonic pollution to the power grid. The Power Factor Correction technology is the most effective means to suppress harmonic pollution; it can reduce the harmonic pollution generated by power electronic equipment on the grid and improve power quality. In general, the power factor correction technology will not only reduce the conversion efficiency of the circuit, but also increase the volume of the circuit in the application of switch power supply. Therefore, the development trend of PFC power supply is high power density and high efficiency.Firstly, this article introduces the generate and effect of higher harmonics. Meanwhile, it also introduces the circuit topology and control strategy of the power factor correction technology. This article uses CCM Boost PFC circuit topology by the analysis of working status and characteristics. The methods of control used average current control strategy and closed-loop feedback control.As the power level increases, the traditional Boost PFC structure circuit is no longer applicable. Its ripple voltage is larger and current stress is relatively high; it is suitable for small and medium power applications. The multichannel parallel technology into traditional Boost PFC topology to solve the above shortcomings, through the working principle and characteristics are analyzed of the circuit, it shows that the multichannel parallel technology can effectively reduce the power device current stress and ripple value of the circuit input current. Therefore, the multichannel parallel technology is important to improve power efficiency of switching power supply. This article focuses on multichannel parallel Boost PFC topology structure, control strategy and implementation.In this article, the establishment of the PFC circuit digital control model. The use of field-programmable gate array(FPGA) controller to control multichannel parallel Boost PFC circuit. The detailed design the control parameters of the circuit, and use Matlab-Simulink tools built multichannel parallel Boost PFC digital control simulation model.Finally, the design of FPGA digital control multichannel parallel Boost PFC power supply module circuits and related procedures, then the design is validated by an experiment. The experimental results show that the correctness and feasibility of the design.
