The energies contained by wave are mainly kinetic energy and potential composed by wave motion on the surface of the ocean, which are renewable,pollution-free and high energy resources. How to use the wave energy effectively is a scholastic topic of research under the current condition of resource shortage. Traditional wave energy generation system firstly transforms wave linear motion into rotary motion,and then converts rotary motion into electrical energy, the power generation system needs multilevel conversion to realize electrical energy output, which is complicated, high-cost and low efficiency.Nevertheless the power generation system built by direct drive linear switched reluctance motor can transform the linear motion of the waves directly to the electrical energy,which overcomes the disadvantages of traditional power system, and improves the efficiency of power generation.In this paper, a new type motor is designed by adding a square permanent magnet to the mover of traditional linear switched reluctance motor(LSRM),which is called permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor(PMLSRM).For the new type of linear switched reluctance generator system, the permanent magnet can be utilized as a excitation to improve the efficiency of the system. In order to analyze the inductance characteristic,magnetic field distribution and force characteristic of the permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor, the ANSYS Maxwell is used to build its mathematical model and analyze the permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor with finite element method. Combining ANSYS Maxwell with ANSYS Simplorer to do simulations for the single-phase permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor system to analyze the power generation principle and efficiency of permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor. In this paper, simulations for the power generation systems ofthe permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor and the traditional linear switched reluctance motor with PID controller are respectively carried out, and their efficiencies of the energy generation are analyzed.In this paper, the d SPACE platform is used to build the permanent magnet linear switched reluctance motor power generation system.The PID voltage control loop and the PID current control loop are applied to the experiment to make the generator’s voltage output error under ?5.0 V.At last, the PID control voltage is replaced by BP neural network PID voltage control to improve control precision.Compared with PID control, although only minor improvements in control precision, the improvement of the anti-jamming capability and self-adaptive ability of BP neural network PID will make the power generation system be more suitable for ocean.
