With the impact of urbanization, suburbanization and motorization,contradictio--ns of urban land, transportation and other aspects are increasingly prominent, Urban neighborhoods as the basic units of the city, the choice of its development model is essential for achieving the goal of sustainable urban development.However, due to the low starting point of China’s economic development, the lack of independent academic research environment is a problem.Theories for the urban micro level are relatively scarce,especially qualitative and quantitative research of neighborhood.In this paper, starting from the micro-level,In this paper,we start from the micro level and Urban rail transit sites surrounding neighborhoods spatial characteristics were analyzed.At last we proposed optimization strategy, aiming to provide a reference for future research.This paper regards the development and construction of rail stations as the background,putting the blocks space as the core which is around the rail sites and making a discussion.Firstly, the theory and development experience literatures are elaborated; Then the interactive coupling between blocks and rail sites were systematically introduced;Immediately after we made a summarization including the successful experience of the existing theoretical results and the application of theory in practice.and outlines some of the world-famous blocks summarizing its development model and experience;Followed by a comprehensive index system measure method is got by a combination of SWOT and AHP, aiming to analyze both the qualitative and quantitative aspects of research for the blocks;Finally,take Shijiazhuang as an example and take the rail sites as subjects to study.We select three different types of blocks, using comprehensive analysis method that combines SWOT and AHP to analyze characteristics of blocks and proposed optimization strategy.From the microscopic point,this paper analysised the intrinsic relationship among the rail transport, urban blocks and residents behavioral characteristics.To different functional blocks such as commercial blocks, residential blocks and mixed blocks,this paper analysised each of its characteristics and needs in different way.The combination of SWOT and AHP applied to the blocks” feature analysis and optimization of space is an innovation of this paper which is to make a qualitative research design has been quantified as an auxiliary.This paper hopes to provide reference for the study follow-up related aspects of blocks and provide recommendations for Shijiazhuang subway construction and the subsequent construction by qualitative and quantitative research from the microscopic point of view.We also hope to provide some strategies for the construction of Shijiazhuang.Make full use of existing theory and experience combining with the development characteristics of China’s city blocks,to explore a suitable development model of China’s rail transportation,to achieve a more coordinated development between urban and rail transit.We are eager to make a contribution to sustainable urban development.
