With the increasing of coastal and ocean engineering, FRP composite structure with the characteristic of corrosion resistance has been used more and more widely. Due to the absence of the current domestic research, the experiments on the durability of the concrete composite short columns confined with GFRP pipe in the corrosion of acid and alkali solution, respectively, is conducted in this paper. The immersion days in the acid and alkali solution, respectively, the experimental temperatures and different pH values of the solution are set to be three variables in the experiments. The analysis is focus on the change regulation of the ultimate bearing capacity, ultimate strain etc. of composite columns. The experimental results show that, the erosion way and effect of GFRP tubular concrete composite columns by acid and alkali are different. The two variables of immersion time and temperature have certain effect on the durability and the bearing capacity of the composite column. The composite column can produce Guqu deformation, compared with plain concrete its deformation ability is greatly improved. And combined column can effectively resist acid-base corrosion and other conclusions.
