Parameter identification of Friction model plays an important role in mechanical engineering design, control, system optimization, etc. Aiming at the machine systems(such as automobile steering system),which cannot employ constant speed method to obtain friction, this article puts forward a method to identify the friction parameters for Stribeck friction model.First of all, the parameter identification problem is translated into a parameter optimization problem based on the energy law. And two kinds of identification algorithm,least-square method and genetic algorithm, are designed respectively according to the structure characteristics of the optimization goal.In addition, the movement simulation systems containing Stribeck friction model of single-DOF and two-DOF are builded with Matlab/Simulink. And motion scheme is designed according to the optimization conditions of least square method and genetic algorithm. The simulation results verify the validity of the law of energy and the effectiveness of the proposed parameter identification method.Further more, system dynamics equations containing the Stribeck friction model are established depending on recirculating ball steering experiment platform. And the steering system friction experiment scheme is determined combining with the parameter identification method proposed in this paper. At last, the specific steering system experiment scheme is designed and implemented in turn. According to the result of the experiment, every friction module’friction parameters is identified one by one based on the genetic algorithm. The parameter identification results are demonstrated to be accurate and reliable by relative error analysis and system comprehensive analysis, and the proposed approach is verified to be feasible for frictional parameter identification of automotive steering system...
