Given the numerical instabilities in evolutionary structural optimization of finite element and the immature stage of development on EFG evolutionary structural optimization, EFG evolutionary structural optimization algorithm are discussed in this paper, based on the high precision, fast convergence, good stability of EFG, as well as the simple principle of evolutionary structural optimization method and less design variables. The main research contents are as follows:Study on EFG evolutionary structural optimization algorithm. EFG evolutionary structural optimization mathematical models will be established in the first place, as well as the basic flow, and then four types of material remove algorithm are brought up, aimed at the basic flow of the research object material remove module, namely, GDG material deletion algorithm, GDGN material deletion algorithm, NDN material deletion algorithm, BGDGN material deletion algorithm. The feasibility of these four material deletion algorithm methods are also verified. Apart from this, different matrix assembling ways referring to the structural analysis of EFG are demonstrated by classification, and the corresponding Matlab code is written. The feasibility and effectiveness of this BGDGN method are eventually verified by a numerical example.Engineering application of BGDGN material deletion algorithm. Firstly, the Matlab code of BGDGN method is applied in concrete truss structure and multiple load cases structure, the smooth and neat result, as well as no checkerboard phenomenon, closely consistent to the existing literature conclusion, which shows that the algorithm has good ductility. Then, in order to test and verify the numerical results of this material removed algorithm has nothing to do with the parameters, two kinds of configuration, evenly divided angular nodes and irregular arrangement nodes, are discussed. A good commonality of BGDGN method is verified, through a theoretical solution of a numerical case.Study on EFG Bi-directional evolutionary structure optimization method. Implementation steps of EFG Bi-directional evolutionary structure optimization is firstly described in detail, followed by the basic procedure, and then the corresponding Matlab program code are accomplished. Finally, the feasibility and reliability of this method are verified via a numerical case.In this paper, the EFG method is introduced into the continuum structural topology optimization. The feasibility, good ductility and commonality of BGDGN material deletion algorithm will be verified by algorithm and certain case analysis. Then EFG Bi-directional Evolutionary Structure Optimization method. is proposed based on BGDGN material deletion algorithm, and results of the numerical case show that EFG bi-directional evolutionary structure optimization method can help achieve more reliability than one-way method.
