The dynamic property and character of service of a long span bridges can be changed when vehicles run on it. And the bridge can aggravate the vehiculary vibration with the vibration of the bridge; the structure of steel bridge especially steel arch bridge with special-shape is flexible with its light-weight, long span, little severity, so its dynamic performance can be more complex and the incidence of the interaction of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration is more obvious; in addition, stationarity of the vehicle can be the mainstay of comfort evaluation of the passenggers which reflects the comfort influence of the automobile vibration on passengers; meanwhile, bridge vibration can influence the comfort of pedestrian walking on the brige when vehicles are running on it. So it has theoretical and practical significance for carrying out evaluation of comfort level based on vehicle-bridge coupling analysis research for steel arch bridge with special-shape.This article based on two steel arch bridges with special-shape and long-span simulate vehicle model which composed by mass with one DOF and spring by the finite element software Ansys, the nature vibration characteristic of vehicle-bridge coupling system are analyzed under conditions that the the fundamental frequency of vehicle is less than, greater than and close to that of bridge model, through changing the qualityof the spring stiffness, when vehicle was load on different positions on the bridge model; then establish oscillatory differential equations of vehicle and bridge respectively with fashionable vehicle-bridge coupling vibration numerical analysis method at present. The equation of motion of vehicle is formulated in Matlab language and bridge model is established by the finite element software Ansys. According to the relationship between wheel bottom and bridge floor which is contact forever, vehicle-bridge coupling vibration numerical analysis is solved by the method of mutual iteration which syudy on the vibration response in the different rank of deck and different speed. Then write Matlab procedure on that basis to extract the vibration acceleration and vibrational frequency of the passengers in the vehicle under different working conditions. The driving comfort of the two steel arch bridge with special-shape are evaluated by international criterion ISO2361-1997(E); and the comfor of the pedestrian walking on the sides of the bridge are evaluated by Sperling stability index. It is concluded that the comfort of driving and pedestrian of the two bridges are both satisfying the criteria, and the comfort of the Jiusha bridge is better than that of Canal the second channels bridge.The vibration characteristic of vehicle-bridge coupling system and evaluation of driving and pedestrian comfort have been realized by the existing finite element software, and the research result has reference value for this type of arch bridges to research in related fields. It provides reference frame of maintenance management for the two bridges after building up at the same time.
