As the phenomenon of highway vehicles overload and overspeed becomes more and more.A lot of highway bridges generate all kinds of diseases,and many of these bridges in service still can meet the safety requirements of structure strength under the influence of disease,but with insufficient rigidity,vehicles running on these bridges will produce larger vibration response,which will seriously influence the riding comfort.In order to solve this kind of issues it is needed to study riding comfort to be combined with vehicle-bridge coupling vibration,and use the research results to guide reinforcement of these bridges.Based on the thorough understanding of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration results from home and abroad,this thesis proposes the solving approach that vehicle-bridge coupling system is divided into vehicle and bridge two independent systems,establishes respectively dynamic equilibrium equation of vehicle and bridge,solves respectively the dynamic response of the vehicle model and the bridge model with displacement compatibility and interaction force as contact conditions.Trigonometric series method is used to simulate the road-surface roughness,and taken into consideration in the model calculation.Newmark-? method is provided,which is a unconditional convergence numerical integral method.Contact element is established between the wheel and bridge deck with displacement contact method of ANSYS in order to solve the dynamic equilibrium equation of vehicle and bridge,and an example that a quarter vehicle model runs through a simple supported beam bridge uniformly is checked.Sperling stationarity index method and ISO 2631 comfort evaluation method are summarized,which are commonly used methods to evaluate riding comfort.Finally,the vehicle-bridge coupling vibration response analysis and riding comfort evaluation are carried out about a rigid frame arch bridge in Hubei province,and effect weight of bridge deck,straining beam,solid spandrels,chord,diagonal bracing,main arch legs of the rigid frame arch bridge are researched by riding comfort as the evaluation standard,and the reasonable reinforcing and transforming program is drafted based on the result of research.The research results show that the solution of vehicle-bridge coupling vibration proposed in this thesis is applicable and practical,the speed of vehicle has great influence on the maximum mid-span deflection of the bridge,but there is no obvious linear correlation between the speed of vehicle and the maximum mid-span deflection,the maximum mid-span deflection does not increase with the increase of the speed of vehicle simply,every component has a significant impact on riding comfort,and the influence weight is very different,the reasonable reinforcing and transforming program drafted based on the result of research can effectively improve the riding comfort.
