For an enterprise, the biggest role of tooling system is to reduce cost and improveproductivity. Through the use of correct and reasonable with cutting tool can achieveefficient processing and reduceing the labor intensity of workers and increasing the life ofcutting and reduce the manufacturing cost. It is very importment for manufacturingenterprise with automobile to the design and using with cutting.The writer has been engaged10years on the manufacturing industry with automobilegear. It was summed up which the law of the enterprise cos reduction. The total cost of theparts will be reduced3%, when the tooling costs by10%. Therefore, we must vigorouslypromotes the design and use of tooling, because we must improve manufacturing capacity.Gear hob is a special king of complex cutting tool. The market of automobile are notonly required to be assembly used, but also the life of parts is more and more. As a result, wemust be got better, not be built. So we solve the all problem for the design and using of hob,and the inspection for gear from combinesing the actual conditions of our companyproduction line. In the process of the graduation design topic selection, I choses the topic“Research On Improving Design and Application For The Hob Cutter Of AutomobileGear” as the research content of graduation design. Including the following contents:Firstly, it is not importent for the production line of gear, which the design principle ofhob. Actually, the users of tooling don’t mind that how hob is invented. It is moreimportant for them that the cutting tools fit the processing requirements of parts. The hob canbe installed on the hobing equipment. The problems is the common problems in processingof manufacture which the hob need requent adjustment and sharpening. The research of thisarticle is from these problems. For convenience, I have been grouped into the seven elements.You can get most of hob for manufacture from these elements.Secondly, most automobile gear of assembly parts is calssified into involute gear,involute spline and parallel key spline. The design and requirements for hob is importment in this paper. The design of three kinds of hob is on the basis of the actual production conditionof ideas. The improving and useing of the hob is base on thactory actual productionconditions and drawings requirements as the standard. The hob for thoughing the line ofthinking can satisfy the manufacture’s needs. After discussing the design of each tool, alsotargeted lists each hob order required parameters for reference.Finally, the article increased the gear parts on the hob processing part of the test andhow to install and use part of the gear hob. The content can verify hob for the requirementsof the print, on the other hand, it ensure that the correct installation cutting tool. Only in thisway, we can put the entire key points about gear hobbing machining gear parts are undercontrol, to ensure that qualified parts and stability.Throughing the research, the hob design related content is more close to the scene, morecan meet the needs of actual production. The idea is novel in this paper, the conclusion ismore has been verified in actual production, the domestic automobile gear manufacturingand related enterprises improve the level of tool manufacture and in the domestic marketnew technology has good economic and social benefits.
