Lifelines are composed of water supply systems, gas supply systems, electrical Power systems, heat transmission systems, communication networks and so on. Lifelines are the material base, on which people’s surviving and development rely. In recent years destructive earthquakes occurred again and again around the world, destruction of the city water supply system can not only caused direct economic losses, and also severe indirect losses caused because the impact of the earthquake relief work after the earthquake. There is no seismic design for most of China’s Xinjiang Construction Corps urban water supply system. So, based on the Xinjiang Construction Corps urban earthquake disaster prevention requirements, take Beitun city as an example, seismic reliability analysis of water supply pipe network system were systematically analyzed according to the research and international experts in the relevant field. The main contents can be listed as follows:(1).In this paper, the earthquake damage characteristics and the earthquake reaction mechanism of water pipes system are comprehensive analyzed, and the interaction between the soil and water pipeline unit under seismic action is studied, based on which the method for seismic response analysis of water supply pipes is improved.(2). According reliability theory, reliability of water supply pipes system is assessed on the basis of the improving seismic response analysis method for the water supply pipe above. Finally, the theoretical analysis method and experience evaluation method are contrasted by engineering examples.(3). According to the analysis results of the reliability of water supply pipes system, using Monte-Carlo stochastic simulation method and knowledge of graph theory to establish reliability analysis method for water supply pipe network system. And connectivity reliability of water supply pipe network system engineering example is analyzed by using computer language (Matlab) programming.(4).Water supply pipe network system topology optimization model is established by considering network connectivity reliability as optimizing objective, and the strengthening cost as restrain. And a practical and effective method is adopted for reinforcement optimization design of pipe network system by using orthogonal enumeration method as a tool.(5).Taking Xinjiang Construction Corps Beitun City water supply system actually as an example, the reaction of water supply pipeline unit is analyzed in the earthquake, and the entire water supply system connectivity reliability is analyzed. Finally, Beitun City water supply system topology is optimized by using the method for reinforcement optimization design of pipe network system.
