The scheme design of complex mechanical products is the core step of product design. It determine the whole process from design to manufacturing. It has become the hot studytopic for the researchers and designers. Therefore, how to complete the design of complexproducts efficiently is an important farmar for enterprise to win market in the current. This paper is for complex and creative features of complex product scheme design. Atthe point of intelligent design, further studying needs analysis, functional mapping, multiplecases’ coding, multiple instance library’s building, scheme case’s evaluation etc.In this paper, through research and analysis the complex product retrieval algorithm, afirst, aim at complexity of the numerical control machine tool products, to decompositiondemand information of the CNC machine tool product scheme design. Using qualitytransformation makes demand information to functions information, and calculate the weightof each information. Second, according to multiple hierarchy and mapping of axiomaticdesign ideas, the related numerical control machine case schemes are required to multi-levelfunction mapping. It can transform the feature information into functional domain andphysical domain and process domain information. Store the informations and build themulti-level instance library. Third, according to the requirements of new products, use thecombination of knowledge evolution (primary retrieval) and the nearest neighbor method(secondary retrieval) to retrieval in multistage case library. Search out the most similarinstance scheme, so as to complete the scheme design of the product. Finally, on the basis ofrelevant theories, this paper has completed the NC machine tools design’s software moduledesign, and verify the feasibility of related theory.
