In recent years, with construction machinery constantly moving large-scaledevelopment, its steering system torque also will be gradually increased. Because thefull hydraulic steering system with flow amplification has advantages, which are largesteering torque, small size, light weight, steering sensitivity, it is more and morewidely used on the large construction machinery.This paper is based on full hydraulic steering system with flow amplification of awheel loader. By using AMESim simulation software, dynamic simulation model ofthe steering system is built, and the steering performance is analyzed. Through thebench test of steering system, simulation model is verified reasonable. Firstintroduced the principle of flow amplification steering system and carried out adetailed analysis of the structure and working principle of flow amplification valve.According to the working principle, established a mathematical model of the flowamplification valve and carried out a detailed analysis of its static controlcharacteristic. This paper also discussed the relationship between the pressure drop,the spool displacement, control flow and amplification flow, etc. Based on the actualstructure and working principle of each key valve block of the flow amplificationsystem, relying on AMESim simulation software, build the correspondingcomponent-level simulation model, and explained some settings of the key parameters.After that, this paper analyzed the turning performances and impact of various factorsabout simulation accuracy based on overall simulation results. According to the actualworking condition of the steering system, design bench test of steering system.Through experiments got the steering fluid inlet pressure and cylinder displacementrelationship, the relationship between amplification flow and control flow, etc. Anddiscussed the amplification flow changing with the load pressure, did the further research about the flow amplification valve. At last,pointed out the similarities anddifferences between the simulation results and experimental curves by comparativeanalysis and discussed the reasons.
