Underground garage using slab-column structural system has many advantages relative to the ordinary beams system:the construction is simple and convenient, the construction period can be shortened; the height of the layer can be reduced, the amount of earth excavation can be reduced, the cost of underground garage can be reduced. In recent years, with the increasing urban population and the continuous expansion of the city, the use of space resources of the earth has reached its limit. This make the underground project developed rapidly and the underground space is being fully utilized. Among them, the underground engineering is widely used as car parks and underground shopping malls. It make an outstanding contribution to peoples’safe and comfortable life. With the development of economic level, the application of such projects is very bright prospects and will be applied to a large number of urban construction.In this paper, I expand the thesis work with a practical engineering. The project is a large underground garage in the district B of Baihuazhou Lake, located in the underground stream area of Jinan. The project adjacent to the scenic area of Darning Lake and be required to be in harmony with the aerial parts of the surrounding environment. The underground garage using slab-column structural system is adopted after considering many factors. Currently, there are still some problems to be solved with using the slab-column structural system in underground garage, such as selecting model of the roof and how to apply the finite element calculations, the seismic issues of the roof, choosing the model of the floor and the finite element calculations, and the garage roof and side walls working together. In this paper, it is hoped to solve some of these problems through the use of the finite element analysis software and make suggestions and practical basis for engineering applications.This article firstly create a finite element model of plate column structure and analyze the internal forces under vertical load. When the structure is in the elastic stage, the deformation and internal force analysis of the structure and identify trends in the plastic unit should be found. Do the numerical comparison between the numerical value of the finite element analysis and the results with conventional empirical coefficient method. When the structure is in the plastic stage, the deformation and internal force analysis of structures should be found. The seismic performance evaluation of structures can be determined by a pushover analysis and the model to determine the order of the plastic hinge with a hinge position and the plate stress analysis can be found.Then combining the specific project examples of the underground garage in Baihuazhou, I use the finite element analysis results to design and analyze the engineering. And compared with the elastic stage finite element numerical calculation results with empirical coefficient method of moments, we found its both more consistent. And make the analysis of internal forces and deformation and fracture carry case in plastic stage.By the pushover analysis, we obtained the distribution of plastic hinges and hinge sequence and studied the seismic performance of the model. We found that the model can meet earthquake seismic requirements. We do finite element analysis combined with the previous conclusion, and then, respectively engineering garage roof, floor and garage facades were calculated analysis and reinforcement design. This can guide the engineering practice better and use the finite element results for a reasonable deal.
