The construction and development of experimental platform for nationaltechnological development occupies a important position in science and technology.Advanced laboratories and laboratory equipment means countries with advancedscience and technology, lots of the inventions and scientific research are from thefamous experimental platform. Hydrodynamic bearings are an essential part ofmechanical design laboratory experiment platform construction. In the experimentalteaching of hydrodynamic bearings, some knowledge for students is difficult tounderstand because of the abstract concept, however experimental platform has thefunction of procedure demonstration and curve analysis, the problem will becomecomplicated easy to understand and accept. Building the hydrodynamic bearingexperimental platform will not only achieve the experimental requirements, but alsoprovide students a comprehensive practical platform. This topic for my university is to establish hydrodynamic bearing laboratoryproject for the study, combining research methods and application of softwareengineering ideas packing problem in software development, coupled with personaland innovative ways to accomplish construction of hydrodynamic bearingexperimental platform. This paper completed with the following studies:(1) the three-dimensionalpacking problem algorithm is used for the layout of laboratory experiment station, according to the largest viewing area to the overall layout of the laboratory planning;(2) designed a experimental software to match hydrodynamic bearing experimentswith the combination of software engineering;(3) use the least squares method byMatlab for data curve fitting, then drawn the film pressure curve, at last comparedwith the theoretical curve for completing the debugging work.
