With the development of UAV technology, UAV plays a pivotal role in modern militarywarfare. As the degree of difficulty, risk and intensity is constantly increasing, how to makeUAV mission planning becomes a big concern for researchers home and abroad. UAV missionplanning based on GIS, one of the key technology of UAV, has become the one big heat ofcurrent research.Using GIS technology for preprocessing of digital map enables the digital map possess avariety of optional layer and display real-time map of various landscape contour views,including satellite view, view of administrative areas, landscape and other geographicinformation. Also, GIS technology allows people to edit no-fly zone, the landing area,alternate landing area on existing maps in accordance with actual situation for the use of routeplanning, thereby accurately guiding the UAV to fly and perform flying tasks precisely inaccordance with the planned mission waypoints. In edit mode, GIS technology makes itpossible to achieve the latitude and longitude information, zoom in and out of the map, planand keep record of waypoint.Path planning algorithm is an important part of the mission planning techniques. To jumpout of local optimal solution and get the global optimal solution of the objective function,genetic simulated annealing algorithm is used, namely combining coding technique andprobability search technology of basic genetic algorithm with Metropolis accept criterion, acriterion commonly used in simulated annealing algorithm, in the process of crossover andmutation to disturb the process of genetic algorithm. Using simulated annealing geneticalgorithm in path planning can reduce the iteration times and the solving time, and be able toget the optimal path.In order to make better UAV mission planning, a UAV mission planning software basedon GIS is designed by me. It includes system management, a digital map, mission planningand data communication. In edit mode, you can make path planning and faciliate routegeneration and management by settimg waypoints and routes, making the path planning more scientific, reliable and accurate in shorter time. The software is simple and easy to operate,giving users a convenient navigation and planning services and providing a powerfulguarantee for the implementation of UAV missions.
