Using reactive power is an effective measure, According to the actual production to reasonably reactive power compensation and preventing the effects of amplified harmonic, compensation effect become an important research topic, it is worthy of further study.In this paper,10KV substation reactive power compensation device must be configured is an idea, there are analysis of dropping power system voltage in substation, power factor reduction and other aspects of the theory. There is a study the status of the reactive power compensation device and existing problems, based on the specific load carried in substation, it presents the ideal kind of compensation scheme. There is an analysis of the calculation of total compensation capacity, and reasonable compensation to optimize computing capacity. Based on the specific operating conditions where the production of the power system, the total amount of reactive power compensation for reasonable optimization grouping, so that it can meet the actual needs.From both functional and economic considerations, it identified overall main circuit wiring of capacitors, reactors and switching elements in reactive compensation. To prevent overvoltage make the transistor to damage, an efficient solution to ensure the equalizing of the series of transistor. To ensure the safe operation of the compensation loop, researching transistor switching time to choice and inrush current moment measures to limit. Compensation device enables the system to improve the voltage quality, improve the power factor, achieve the ideal design effect.
