Polymer solar cell (PSC) with many advantages such as low cost, simple fabrication process, light weight and being prepared into flexible devices, it becomes an important research direction with important developments and application prospects. The program of flexible polymer thin film solar cell is the pre-research project for the group’s strategic development.Low conversion efficiency and short life are the reasons which restrict the commercialization of polymer solar cells. Compared to inorganic materials, organic materials have much shorter lifespan, which leads the polymer solar cell devices with lower life, and this is the main reason for not widely being applied; the encapsulation for polymer solar cell solar cell device is also an important issue to be addressed for currently commercialized application. The method of improving the stability of the PSCs by electrode surface modification technology has been illustrated in this subject. Using TIPD and molybdenum oxide as the anode and cathode modification layer respectively can improve the efficiency and stability of the battery to some extent. In terms of structure optimization design, the effects of different mixed solvents on the surface morphologies of the active layers are investigated. The results show that the mixed solvent (dichlorobenzene:chloroform (v:v)=9:1) is suitable for coating on flexible substrates. Finally, encapsulation experiments for battery device are performed, and suitable glue and films for encapsulation have been screened, and accelerated aging tests for devices are carried out under the conditions of65℃and80%RH. The research provides a technical support for improving the stability of polymer solar cells.
