Because the working condition of these boilers is high temperature and high pressure, a very little defect may cause huge losse on economic property and life asset, that is why the quality control of boiler installation was so important.In this paper, a new600MW supercritical thermal power generating unit boiler as an example, through induced the layout of install mechanical, installation of steel structures, heating surface welding installation and pressure test etc., following the boiler installation process order summed up the large power station boiler installation method. And around the guiding ideology of" boiler installation supervision inspection regulation", start from data, boiler parts, purchased materials, pipeline in boiler scope, using macro examination, thickness measurement, X-ray, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, permeability, hardness, spectroscopy etc.detection method and equipment, combined with boiler installation process, and actual work experience, put forward specific methods and content of large power station boiler installation supervision inspection, to reduce the defects generated during the installation,which will help boiler safe operation and promote the development of inspection work on boiler installation.
