The stability of slope is always a hot problem in the filed of Geotechnical Engineering. According to lots of researches, the existence of structural planes not only destroys the integrity of rocky slope with block fracture, but also has a direct impact on the mechanical properties and stress distribution of rock mass, so it is very important to research the stability of slope with block fracture. There is a main standard to make sure which method is the same with analyzing the stability of slope is if it can reasonably analyse the stability of slope under the influence of structural planes. The block theory is to research the satability of slope with block fracture, it ues geometrical method to find the key blocks, and according to the condition of statics balance, educing the gliding force and safety fator, appraising the stability of the slope.On the basis of reading many papers and summing up all kinds of methods which are used to analyse the stability of rocky slope, this paper will do researchs hereinafter:Firstly, using digital photography measurement to get structual planes information of rock mass, and then by analysis of them, on the basis of technology of nerwork simulation (the method of Monte Carlo) achieving in taking on the real information of structural planes. Secondly, this paper has developed the key block tneory, it can finding up key blocks in rocky slope on the assumption that suructure planes are finite disc. Thirdly, designning the software GeoSMA-3D which can analyse the stability of rocky slope, according to the principle of "make the complex model to many simply models", this software can make up the complex dimensional modle of rocky slope; realize the network simulation of discontiguous structural planes; find up the key blocks; analyse the stability of the key blocks; output the datas and pictures of results; show the process of key blocks’sliding and so on. At last, based on a rocky slope engineering in ZhuangHe-GaiZhou freeway, using digital photography measurement to get structual planes information of rock mass, and then making up the dimensional modle of rocky slope, finding up the key blocks, analyzing the stability of them, show the process of key block sliding, in order to validate the practicability of the softwear.
