With the strategy of the western area in china developed gradually, the traffic engineering is built so much, meanwhile the problem which is concerned about cutting slope instability often happen, and the degree of risk or complexity is much prominent among most of them which are dip interbedding high slope of mudstone and sandstone. The stability condition of this kind of slope after excavation, in the process of supporting governance and after the process of supporting governance has been the major issue among experts and scholars in domain of geotechnical engineering.In this paper, the stability and slope monitoring theory of bedding rock slope is concluded and summarized preliminarily, on the basis, monitoring test is designed depending on the management engineering of a deep excavation cutting slope of Lan Yong road(The high interbedding slope of strong-weathered mudstone and sandstone), proceeded in situ test of anchor rod stress retaining, anchor rope stress, and the displacement during the process and end of slope, using PLAXIS simulated this project by joint rock module. Through the comparison of the slope monitoring and simulation, the following aspects of the relevant conclusions and enlightenment are put forward:(1) It is a bedding slope that has some joints in it, and its potential slip surfaces are vested and more than one, when the outer structural surface exposed to air.(2) Potential fold line slip surface of the joint rock slope is come from joint crack and rock stratum. The retaining structure has notable influence on stability of structure when it penetrates any part of slip surface, but penetrating shale surface has more effect on structural surface than penetrating fissures.(3) After prestressing the anchor cable, each prestressing phases has large affect on the displacement of slope and internal force of retaining structure.(4) Comparing monitoring results, joint rock module simulation of the slope is relatively accurate. According to the result of the simulation, the prestress of anchor cable can impact displacement field of the slope certainly; Through the simulation analysis of internal force of supporting structure, it can be find that the internal force of supporting structure penetrated shale surface are larger than the internal force of supporting structure penetrated joint surface.(5) Through the monitoring results and numerical simulation analysis of the slope, the slope can be evaluated stable, and the flexible prestressing frame retaining structure conducts obvious affect on the slope, in the case, some advice about supporting design has been raised for the kind of slope.
