In recent years, global energy has become increasingly tense, more and more countries pay more attention to energy saving and environment protection of its own. Building energy efficiency as one of the most effective and indispensable method, development and promotion of high efficiency thermal insulation materials becomes the key to energy conservation and environmental protection. Nowadays, organic material in exterior wall thermal insulation materials dominate the market, which has poor fire prevent performance, fire accidents resulting from organic insulation of external wall material is numerous. Therefore, it is imperative to carry on the research of a new type of inorganic flame retardant insulation materials.Based on the research of inorganic insulation material species and production technology both at home and abroad, this experiment use expanded perlite as aggregate, water glass as the main adhesive ingredient, add a few dosage of waterproof agent, emulsion agent and dispersed agent, to manufacture product which has good appearance quality and mechanical performance; then the products’ performance test determines the optimal formula of waterproof agent, produced out overall waterproof thermal insulation material:thermal coefficient and adiabatic performance of the produce is also been tested. Results indicates that, in condition of1.51compression,200℃drying temperature for.2h drying time, dosage of adhesive is40.22%, the dosage of waterproof agent is0.23%, the capacity heavy of product is195kg·m-3., water containing ratio is1.70%, compressive strength is0.523Mpa, overall water-repellent ratio is98.53%, thermal coefficient is0.0623W·m-1·K-1, high temperature burning burn linear contraction rate is1.16%. The performance indicators of this product meet the standard of national standard of excellence expanded perlite thermal insulations perfectly.The preparation process in this paper is simple, low raw materials cost, the water-repellent and fireproof properties of the product is outstanding, comprehensive performance is fine. In addition, there is no waste during the process. To sum up, this product has great application prospects.
