Moving induction heating is mainly used in heating deformation with the joule heating effect of eddy current for steel plate, compared with the traditional heating methods, there are many advantages in forming, such as high heating efficiency, accuracy control error, less environmental pollution, safety performance, and easy automation, and it has been widely used in engineering practice. As the continuously improvement of the processing technology and deformation accuracy, contrasted with traditional experimental method, numerical simulation technology is more convenient and cheaper, taking a greater role to the application of induction heating. This article adopts the method of numerical simulation to research on temperature distribution of high frequency moving induction heating process for steel plate.First of all, high-frequency moving induction heating principles have carried on the detailed introduction in this paper, mainly including Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic field and temperature field analysis of moving induction heating. At the same time, the analysis process of numerical calculation software COMSOL Multiphysics and the method of frequency selection are also briefly introduced.Second, the influence of heating parameters on the temperature field has been conducted with numerical analysis in the heating process. First, the equipment and schemes of moving induction heating experiments have been introduced, and obtaining the corresponding experiment data of the temperature field; Second, setting up a finite element model for numerical simulation can get the numerical results of the temperature field, and then comparing the measured data and numerical simulation data can be used to verify the validity of the numerical simulation. Finally, according to the effectiveness of numerical simulation, it can been used to simulated the influence of main process parameters (such as heating speed, current density, power frequency, thickness and air gap) on the temperature distribution.In the last part of the article, a study for temperature field distribution characteristics has been carried out. Researching on the temperature distribution of steel plate in the thickness direction and establishing the temperature analysis model; Then according to the dimensional analysis, the similarity rule of the temperature field has been carried out.
