The accurate detection of impact points is a useful way to check the performance of weapons. It can also enhance the level of training by helping shooters to adjust the shooting process. The traditional artificial target-scoring methods have many disadvantages such as low security, poor real-time performance and the possibility of a miss or misinformation of impact points. Shock wave target-scoring systems based on acoustics localization are widely used in impact point detection because of their simple structure, high accuracy and their capability of working normally full day. The existing researches on impact point detection are aimed at the case where the bullets fly at vertical incidence. Otherwise, they will result in large measurement error and the relevant models cannot be used. But bullet shooting at oblique incidence is common. This paper designs a shock wave target-scoring system in order to solve the problem of impact point accurate detection when the bullets fly in any direction.Analyze the formation principle and characteristic of shock wave, and study the propagation law of shock wave when the angle between trajectory and target is arbitrary. The mathematical model of impact point detection for bullet shooting in any direction is built based on the time difference when the sensors receive shock wave and the space geometry relation between impact point and sensors. Simulation analyses are made aimed at sensor array models with progressive optimization, and the model based on seven sensors distributed stereoscopically is adopted at last. Research is made on system hardware, and the design of upper computer software is an important part in the paper. Condor algorithm is used to solve the coordinates of impact points. Visualization procedure to display the impact points in real time is designed based on C/S model and hybrid programming with MATLAB and C#.The impact point detection error is less than2.5cm through firing tests in a shooting range with the target size2m×1.8m The result indicates that the shock wave target-scoring system with reliable performance makes the impact point detection for bullet shooting in any direction come true and the system meets the demand of daily shoot training. |
