With the city construction developing rapidly, many high-rise buildings and ocean constructions are being built, which increases the demand of foundation and base forms. As is well-known, the pile foundation is the most important one among various forms, and also the commonest. The interaction mechanism between pile and soil has significant difference as to various geological conditions or pile forms, which causes the effect is quite complicated. As a result, to ascertain the bearing capacity of single pile according to some specified area is a new topic to civil engineers.The floating pile is most comprehensive among all pile forms, but many unstable factors which can influence the load transfer mechanism exsit, such as the anisotropy, layer characters, saturation, pile diameter, pile length and so on. So nowadays to ascertain the vertical ultimate bearing capacity rationally and enhance the economic benefit is most concerned problem.In this paper, with considering the local area of Liaoning Dalian as the study area from actual conditions, based on the analysis of the geological condition in which area, a series of vertical static tests were accomplished. Through the tests a conclusion can be made from the load settlement curves of every pile. With considering the contact between the pile and soil which is assumed porous medium material, based on the simplified geological conditions, postulated conditions and boundary condition accordingly, a two-dimension plane strain model has been built. Compared with the static tests, the feasibility of numerical method is verified. Based on the numerical calculation model, the displacement and stress of the whole model is discussed in detail during the load process, which is expected to bring reference value for the settlement and bearing capacity of single pile in this area to some extent.
