The development of geo-techniques is related to delicate and complicated laboratory experiment. Triaxial test apparatus is one of the most fundamental test apparatus for consolidation test. Through on-site sampling in various geological settings, simulation of the real field bearing environment where samples were obtained with triaxial test apparatus, researchers acquired the geotechnical characteristics for local geological condition. The result is of great importance for engineering projects, bearing great influence on the safety and reliability of the project.This paper has completed the design of measurement and control system of multifunctional triaxial test apparatus (MTTA). First of all, this paper made a simple presentation on the overall design and operational principle of MTTA, followed by the overall design of measurement and control system with focus on industrial computer. Secondly, it analyzed the realization of electro-hydraulic servo control system. Finally, this paper conducted hardware and software design for the measurement and control system.During the process of hardware design, this paper went through the lectotype for industrial personal computer, the board, sensor, and servo-valve and as such it completed the design for electronic control system. It independently controls the electrohydraulic servo valve and proportional overflow valve and accomplished full-closed loop motion control of the hydraulic cylinder.This paper used VB.NET language in software design. It designed a user-friendly interface and through A/D conversion interface, counter interface, RS232interface to complete all kinds of data collection work. This paper realized the independent control of hydraulic cylinder and the automatic stress path loading of standard test module through D/A conversion interface. In addition, it has made technical break-through for two problems in measurement and control system software design, Windows-based precise timing and multithreading. The software designed data display, drawing, storing and printing function according to user requirements.From the scene of the measurement and control system for debugging and tests have been completed, monitoring system developed in this paper can meet the test requirements of multifunction triaxial test apparatus and has been put into trial operation.
