Recentyears,distributedenergy storage has become a more popular topic,and theresearch of the energy storage method becomes more and more.Flywheel energy storagesystem is a kind of advanced mechanical energy storage method,which has the advantageof longer service life,high density,easily to control and is not sensitive totemperature,advantages of small pollution to the environment,etc.It is not only as a form ofenergy storage,but also at the same time it can be a dynamic adjusting device of powerquality,or powerful power supply.So the flywheel energy storage system uses in manyindustries,such as electric vehicles,aerospace,country defence,etc. have many importantapplications.Firstofall,this paper introduces the basic principle of flywheel energy storage system,through the analysis,selection of permanent magnet synchronous motor as the flywheelenergy storage carrier,it can effective exchange of energy.Designed with back-to-back typePWM inverter circuit as the main circuit topology,the flywheel charging method based onvector control is given,the flywheel discharge method based on PWMrectifier,especiallyfor permanent magnet synchronous motor position detection technology makes in-depthdiscussion, respectively is given more advanced have position detection method based onrotating transformer and no position detection method based on signal injection method.Secondly, using Simulink to build a nonposition signal simulation diagram, and gives thevector control system based on the constant torque/constant power charging simulationmodel and constant pressure discharge simulation model based on the technology of PWMrectifier, and the simulation results are given respectively, according to the results ofsimulation, analysis the concrete situation in practical engineering applications, haspractical significance.Finally, adopts TMS320F2812of TI company as the core control chip of system softwareand hardware design, software includes the design of the main program, interrupt programdesign and the design of each subroutine, the hardware design includes the design of maincircuit topology structure, control chip design, position detection and current, voltagedetection, the driver and the isolated part of the design is also given.
