Aviation safety is an eternal topic, is the lifeblood of the civil aviation industry, and is thebasis for the existence of the civil aviation industry and development. The lost MalaysiaAirlines aircraft placed aviation safety issues once in front of the general public again.Aviation accidents often get more attention because of the severity of the accident and widesocial impact. In order to improve aviation safety, there have been many secondary surveillance andmanagement systems, but no matter what system, the most important thing is to have thesupport of the data. ADS-B is the latest flight status monitoring technology, can providecomprehensive flight data. Compared with radar technology, ADS-B technology can obtaintracking information with higher data precision, faster data update rate, lower constructioncost, and greater ability to adapt to the terrain. This theis takes the use of ADS-B technology to obtain ADS-B data from the aircrafts’broadcasting. Through the ADS-B data content identification, decoding and integration, validtrack data can be extracted. Furthermore, the thesis achieves the design and development ofdependant software. The content of this article is organized around two aspects, one is ADS-B related technologyresearch, and the other is the software’s design and development. Technology research includesthree parts: ADS-B technology research, flight track data acquisition and processing, CPRencoding and decoding. In the ADS-B technology, the theis defines the concept of ADS-B, and describes ADS-B’sarchitecture from the spatial level, hardware perspective, and application extensions and so on.Finally, the thesis provides the structure of ADS-B messages. In flight track data acquisition and processing, the theis has done the research of theaircraft identification, access to aircraft position information and speed information, and fighttrack data fusion. Important and difficult part of the study is to decode the various data, including IA-5decoding in the aircraft identity, Gray code decoding in the altitudeinformation, conversion of speed data. Data fusion includes three steps: filtering, decodingand conversion. Through these steps, the ADS-B original data can be integrated nto desired track data.In CPR encoding and decoding, the CPR coding theory and decoding methods areconcerned. This section explains in detail CPR encoding and decoding process and someimportant definitions and formulas are derived. In the design and implementation of the track access and display system, the first work isthe functional requirements of the system. The functional requirements describe necessaryfunctions what the system should have from the different roles. Secondly, the designs of classand key business processes are given from both static and dynamic design of the system. Finally, the implementation of the system is described.
