Traffic congestion has become a common problem in most city of our country, animportant way to solve the city traffic problem is the development of public transport.At present, many places in the country promote vigorously the large capacity publictransport mode. Modern tram, because of its low cost, large capacity, high speed,good performance, characteristics of green environmental protection and otheradvantages, gets the favor of more and more people. This paper mainly studies theconstruction of modern tram technology solutions and combined with actual case toanalyze.This article tells the story of the rise and fall of tram from the trams origin,popularization, dismantle and reproduce, upgrade, development process. Through thecomparison with the light rail transit, rapid transit, subways and other publictransportation modes, this paper gives the superiority of modern trams.The second part of the paper introduces the four stage method of trafficprediction, which contains traffic generation forecast, trip distribution prediction,traffic mode split, traffic flow assignment and two kinds of modern tram system (steelwheel rail tram, the tram rail wheel).The third part mainly studies the lane layout, the tram station location selection,intersection, turn signal control mode and other organization design, and has aresearch on other traffic modes in connection with modern tram.Finally, combined with the Shenyang Hunnan Metro tram project, this paper putsthe study theory to practical application.
