In speeding up the process of urban development and improvement of urban road network,many cities built expressway,the expressway reduce the cost of travel,with the increase of traffic volume,urban expressway entrances to appear the phenomenon of traffic congestion,not only cause connected to expressway section of mass line,affect the arterial road traffic function,serious when the queue might even go back to the expressway,making expressway traffic jam.The main road is connected to the city's main partition trunk road,secondary trunk road has the function of distribution and service traffic,if connecting expressway and secondary trunk road by interchange,and to determine the reasonable interchange spacing,not only can give full play to the arterial road traffic function,and it also can reduce the proportion of short distance travel,it can ensure the expressway is mainly the function of the medium and long distance traffic service.First of all,from the function of roads and road network structure study of expressway and secondary trunk road in the form of interchange connection is feasible,and the key technical indicators of expressway and secondary trunk road connection,composition and the selection of design indexes: cross-sectional investigation on urban roads of flat vertical index is not restricted factor,cross section form and traffic management organization form for road safety and efficiency is of great significance.Secondly,studied the features of expressway traffic flow,put forward the expressway with the highway as a driveway speed limit,and based on this,advances the expressway intersection function definition,and study the influencing factors,to determine the intersection area calculation and the range of the length.And then,on the basis of the speed limit divided,to comprehensively consider the values of speed limit of expressway lateral lanes and speed of the design of the ramp,the length of the variable speed drive,and recommended values of each section of speed changing lanes is given.Finally,we study the distance between the intersection of the expressway and the coordinated control of the intersection between the entrance and the ramp.Paper studies on the one hand can clear distance function orientation,exert the function of the distance,on the other hand,one can give full play to the distribution of traffic function,at the same time can be combined with the traffic function and expressway intersection traffic control,reasonable transportation organization.The research results are of guiding significance to traffic organization and traffic organization of expressway.
