Airport surface taxiing collision detection plays an important role for frontlineunits to designate hotspots, especially for some busy airports with complex physicalcharacteristics and heavy flight flow. Not only the surface operating efficiency of theaircraft can be improved by designating hotspots scientifically and rationally, but alsothe flight operations can be guaranteed.Based on the historical surface surveillance radar data and the airport modelingtechnology, a network model of historical surface operating data was established, theairport model was streamlined and taxiway comprehensive weights were distributedcombined with the actual operating law of taxiway, according to the comprehensiveweights, the sections of airport model were divided into two levels.In case of those sections with smaller comprehensive weights, design a staticconflict detection model main about consideration for spatial and temporal overlap.Got the entry and departure times of aircraft which taxied through the taxiing units;and then Analyzed any two planes taxied through the same taxiing unit, detectedstatic collision based on judging whether they had time overlap, their heading-offsetand distance threshold value was passed or not.In case of those sections with bigger comprehensive weights, design a staticconflict detection model based on the probability of collision. Calculate theprobability of collision on them combined the state of aircraft features, detected staticcollision based on judging whether the probability threshold value was passed or not.Based on the several kind of static collision detection models above, design asystem to identify and designate the hotspots, which combining with the programminglanguage. Taking an airport in the central and southern of china as an example, thehotspots identified and designated by the system, which verified by the airportcontrollers and experts, prove that the method is feasible.
