Runway incursion is not a fresh topic for civil aviaiton. With the increasing of air traffic, the runway safety problem caused by runway incursion becomes increasingly prominent, and the prevention of the runway incursion at home and abroad mainly focus on human factors, the relevant foreign research only simply described how does airport configuration influence the runway incursion and there is no quantitative analysis on it. In order to cope with the growth of traffic, the airport build more parallel runways, but the construction of parallel runway will be restriced by the limitation of land area,therefore, the emergence of crossing runway will be inevitable,the airport construction layout will also tend to be more complicated in our country.For the reduction of runway incursion,it is necessary to plan and design of airport maneuvering area configuration in advance to avoid unreasonable airport configuration which is more likely to lead to runway incursions.Firstly,this paper summarizes the airport configuration which is more likely to build Hot Spot by viewing electronic map of foreign airports,and has an qualitative description about impact the airport configurationon has on the runway incursion; Secondly, the paper uses the correlation analysis, principal component analysis and regression analysis method and through the SPSS software to have an analysis on statistical data of airports configurations and runways intrusions.Through the generalizations,the paper establish regression model between the number of runway incursions and operation sorties, airport runway configuration complexity;Finally, the relationship between different runway incursion severity and runway configuration is analyzed,and the paper establish regression model between the number of C category runway incursion and operation sorties, airport configuration complexity.The paper also determines how dose the intersection runway effects the runway incursion rate of A and B category,and it also describes the particularity of D category runway incursion according to the data analysis. This paper makes quantitative analysis on airport configuration which easily causes the runway incursion,the reseach can provide certain reference value for the new airport construction and the renovation of the old airport which has unreasonable layout.
