The measurement and study of parameters measurement of focused ultrasound transducer provides the effective basics for using the ultrasound transducers in the field of diagnosis and therapy ultrasound. However, in view of the characteristics of radiated field from the focused ultrasound transducer, such as high acoustic power, high pressure and high temperature, the measurement of the transducer parameters would be difficult, which measurement process is based on the methods and measurement devices, making the measurement results instability and inaccuracy. Therefore, to reach the goal, the measurement of field parameters, will be used more effective and efficient methods and devices. In order to deal with the problems mentioned above, the main work of this paper is shown below.(1) The spectral characteristic of the ultrasound transducer is an important parameter for the transducer itself. In this article, the method of pulse-echo and the hydrophone method are used to calculate the spectral characteristic. Compared the two methods, the consistency is discussed.(2) Using the calorimetry method measures the acoustic power radiated from the plane transducer and the focused transducer. According to the principle of the calorimetry method, the measurement system is build and using two different methods verifies the stability of the measurement system. In this paper, the acoustic power generated by the high intensity focused transducer is measured by the system and the uncertainty is also estimated.(3) The field scanning radiated from the focused transducer is made by using the needle hydrophone and the fiber optic hydrophone. The2-D imaging of the scanning field is implemented by using the scanning data, and the parameters of the field are calculated. Moreover, according to the several data of different scanning plane, the3-D field is reconstructed, and the validation of the process is verified in this section.
