With the rapid development of economy, human’s need for energy are increasing,vigorously the development and utilization of renewable energy has become the top priority.Wind energy is currently one of the most promising new energy sources, it is one of theinexhaustible energy, also a pollution-free and renewable green energy. Wind power has beeninto national sustainable development strategy of many countries. High efficient and reliablewind power generation technology has become popular in the field energy. Variable pitchcontrol is the key technology of wind power generators, so study of wind turbines variablepitch control technology, make full use of wind power and get the stable power output, hasimportant practical significance for the development of wind power and wind turbinesindustry.Variable pitch control is one of the key technology of wind power generation, use thelargest of wind power below the rated wind speed, make the stable output power above therated wind speed. This paper first from the theory of wind power, analysising the theory ofBates and the indicators of wind function, understanding the principle of variable pitchcontrol and two methods of variable pitch control, established the wind power generationsystem model. Bacause of wind power system has the characteristics of strong nonlinear andtime-variable uncertainty, the traditional PID controller in wind power variable pitch controlis hard to get ideal control effect; wind has the characteristic of instability and randomness, itis difficult to establish accurate mathematical model of controlled object, as a result of theinfluence of wind shear effect and shadow effect, every blade of wind speed are different.According to the above problem, based on existing technology, designing the variable pitchcontroller based on cloud model, based on uniform variable pitch control to design theindependent variable pitch control system based on the blade angle of weights allocation.Using the software of Matlab/Simulink and RT-LAB simulation experiment platform tomodeling and simulation. The simulation results show that the independent variable pitchcontrol based on cloud model not only can get stable output power, also has fast responsespeed, effectively suppress overshoot and can get good control with the random changes inwind speed.Based on the design of variable pitch controller, analysising the characteristics of electricvariable pitch and hydraulic variable pitch, through understanding the structure, principle andthe selection of servo motor of electric variable pitch servo control, designing the electricvariable pitch servo control system. First of all, based on TMS320F2812DSP to designincluding main circuit, drive circuit, detection circuit, communication circuit and otherhardware circuit design, secondly use the new software design method, through the designMatlab/Simulink model of variable pitch control system based on cloud model, using Real Time Workshop generated code directly, implementation the software design based on DSP.
