The Design Expression Of Intangible Cultural Heritage In Folklore Theme Park

Folklore theme park is a new type in the development of modern theme park.The folklore, as a kind of intangible cultural heritage, was selected to be the new typepark’s theme. They has positive significance in protecting and developing intangiblecultural heritage nowadays. In addition, due to its strong regional characteristics, theconstruction of folklore theme park has also becomes to be an effective way to inheritand express the regional culture.Folklore theme park not only has commercial value, but also played asignificance role in disseminating, carrying forward and educating the folklore culture.It promoted the local people’s cultural identity, helping the other regional tourists toknow about local folklore legends.This paper sorted the content of Er-langshen legend from the cultural context inGuannan County, Jiangsu province, discuss and research through the project scheme,site selection, planning and architectural design. We strive to the most effective wayfor mining and expressing the legend culture from the cultural planning and siteselection, showing and delivering the myth culture such as the filial culture reflectedin the split the mountain to save the mother legend, in the water fairy legendthroughout the Guannan area, in the two immortal’s fighting legend recorded in theJourney to the West. We demonstrated the main topic put forward in this paper,through the case study of Er-langshen Cultural Relics Park, Gunan county, Jiangsuprovince.
