Research On Multi-sensory Design Experience Of Interactive Landscape Architecture

The arising of interactive landscape architecture is in its prime in the time of seeking forthe individual character development. The interactive landscape architecture refers to thelandscape management and existing pattern that pays attention to the benign advance ofhumanity which involving individuality and group in the city circumstances, and the need ofhuman soul which become an important topical of city landscape architecture. The interest-focused interactive landscape architecture is different from the natural scenery in that itattracts spontaneous public participation, leads the deep-thinking issues into the lives of thepublic, and naturally make human as the important component of the interactive landscapearchitecture.The landscape design was always concerned as vision art since its development from the19th century, but the experience of landscape involves five senses of feeling, not just vision.As the development trend, experiential interactive landscape architecture created a distinctiveexperience and great significance about space and facilities, whose purpose was to attract thepublic actively, participate. And the multi-sensory interactive experience of the landscapearchitecture was to make more sense of interactive landscape architecture, to arouse people’svision, hearing, taste, smell, time perception, position sense and bring out the beauty of one’sinner feelings, achieving a good interaction with the landscape architecture.This article reviewed the recent research advances of landscape multi-sensory interactiveexperience in China, Through the method of multi-sensory interactive experience and typicalexamples of interactive landscape architecture, the multi-sensory interactive experience isexpected to input new elements into landscape design. The purpose of this research is to buildthe conception of whole landscape which inspires the Multi-sensory interaction of feelingsdesign in landscape architecture.
