The Design And Practice Of Xihai Park Multi-sensory Experiential Landscape In Weinan City

With the development of the landscape and the deepening of humanistic landscape concepts,simple visual enjoyment can not meet people’s demand for landscape quality.they perceive the environment through the visual,auditory,tactile,olfactory,and gustatory sense.Because of the late development,there are less comprehensive theories related to multi-sensory experience design.Therefore,this article focuses on the comprehensive multi-sensory experience design to meet people’s needs for a more comprehensive and deeper perception of the surrounding environment,and to achieve a full body heart experience.Through consulting literature and books,the research topics and scope were determined.Combining the analysis of theories and cases,we studied the experience characteristics of visual,auditory,tactile,olfactory,and gustatory sense and summarized the techniques of multi-sensory experience design.The design practice was guided of Weinan Xihai Park by the combination of practice and theory.Through the study of theories and cases,we reached the following conclusions:1.Through research,we have summarized the important role of multi-sensory experiential landscapes and their inevitable trends of development.Multi-sensory design enables people to experience a full range of experiences.At the same time,it has health benefits and educational value,and can satisfy the needs of different people for landscape perception.2.Weinan Xihai Park has created a rich experience space in landscape design with different perceptions.Different functional areas have formed a distinctive landscape space with outstanding perception.Through a multi-sensory comprehensive experience design,it stimulates people’s active participation in the park and increases the richness of the landscape.3.In the multi-sensory design practice in Weinan Xihai Park,we explored new ideas for the multi-sensory experience design of waterfront landscape and the use of multi-level sensory experience of water.Practice has verified the application of different perception methods in landscapes and the guiding significance of multi-sensory experience design in landscape design.The multi-sensory experiential design of the landscape enables people to obtain a more realistic,comprehensive and interesting experience in the landscape space,as well as a new way of intimating the intimate relationship between man and nature and man.
