Research On Quality Control Of Lanzhou Honglou Times Square By Lanye Supervision

China has implemented supervision system in the engineering construction industry since1988. It is a significant reform of the management system in the construction industry. Gansu Lanye Construction Supervision Co., Ltd.("Lanye Supervision") is the only supervision company with comprehensive qualifications in Gansu Province and the nonferrous industry. In recent years, super high rise construction is increasing at an amazing speed both in quantity and speed thanks to the constant stable economic development of China. This offers a new growth point of business for the supervision companies. As the signature of economic development of a country or nation, super high rise represents the economic strength through its height. As the construction quality of super high rises is concerned with the safety of people’s lives and properties, it is especially important. The construction stage determines the project quality. And the supervision company must conduct quality control in the stage.This paper takes Lanzhou Honglou Times Square project as the case and studies quality control of construction by the supervision company. Located at the southeast corner of Nanguanshizi, Chengguan District, Lanzhou City, this project is the municipal key project. It is a super high rise complex with building height of246.2m,56floors above the ground and3floors underground. It is the highest building under construction in Lanzhou that is approved by the related national authority so far. According to the three-stage quality control theory (construction preparation control, construction process control, completion inspection control), dynamic control of construction quality is conducted. The difficulties and key points of quality control in each stage are analyzed. Regarding the fixed project quality target, all-round and whole-process proactive control is adopted from the five objective factors that affect the construction quality, i.e., people involved, machine and tools employed, project materials, construction methods, and construction environment. Based on the project features, quality control of the construction is described in different disciplines, including civil works, electrical works, mechanical and firefighting works, and HVAC works. Among them, civil works that is invested the most and affects the building safety become the key point for quality supervision, including construction survey, shoring of foundation pit, concrete works, prevention of hydration heat of raft mass concrete, and steel structure.This paper analyzes and expounds the influence of the quality control by the supervision company on the construction quality of high rises, as well as the key points in quality control during construction stage. This will provide helpful references for supervision companies in construction quality control of super high rise buildings.
