Study On Revitalizing The Vitality Of Traditional Historical Blocks

Traditional historical blocks are the legacy of precious material cultural heritage in theprocess of social development，and witness the development of the history of the city. Withthe acceleration of urbanization and the rapid development of economy of local cities，Traditional historical blocks decline in physical function and social function gradually，and are no longer compliant to people needs. It is necessary to research the operation lawand update strategies of traditional historical blocks so as to activate the vitality oftraditional historical blocks.Firstly，the article holds the trend of the development of conservation of the domesticand international traditional historical blocks, and then, based on the analysis of protectionand renewal of traditional historical blocks, the article puts forward the strategies ofconversation and renewal. Lastly, the article points out suggestions including physicalenvironment, historical context and city management, try to keep city characteristics in theprocess, so as to realize the vitality of traditional historical blocks.The dissertation is composed of six chapters:Chapter1introduces the background、object and range、purposes and frame about thedissertation study.Chapter2and Chapter3briefly retrospect the developing course of historical blocksin aboard and home; describe protection and renewal of historical blocks theoreticalresults， finally sum up useful experiences.Chapter4analyzes the influential factors of historical blocks and the influence ofupdated model for the vitality of historical blocks, finally put forward the system ofdynamic elements.Chapter5is the emphasis of dissertation. Based on fore contents, it sums up themethods of the vitality of strategies. The methods are composed of three lay: one is thehistorical context of inheritance, the other is another is the methods about space andenvironment design; the methods of policy and management.Chapter6analyses the historical block of DongXiDaJie in BaoDing city. it is theapplication of the theories and methods mentioned in anterior chapters.
