Design And Development Of Smart Home Terminal Application Software Based On Wot Technology

With the rapid development of the Web of Things, more and more computers and information appliances have appeared in people’s life, the ultimate goal of which is to provide a more comfortable, safer and more efficient environment for us. The information appliances presented by the various types of sensors and controllers are in bad need in smart home systems. This article will display the data and images captured by these smart devices in our terminal application system, and also will design and develop the software to achieve the ultimate purpose of controlling and monitoring our smart home environment.Based on the discussion of the basic concepts and present domestic and international situation of smart home development, this article points out one of the most important tasks is the terminal application software, also designs and develops smart phone applications according to different kinds of smart appliances. One is for cross-platform remote controlling and monitoring the devices (such as temperature and humidity sensors, light sensors, smoke sensors, adjustable lamps, curtains, intelligent sockets) connected directly to the gateway. Users can send control codes by pressing the proper button. The other one is for infrared electrics(such as televison, Set Top Box, air conditioning, player). Users can send infrared codes through proper button operations to achieve wireless intelligence. The main work contains research and use of key technologies in application softwares, the system-designing and function modules’ designing and development work, test results, and finally the outlook of the smart home system. The smart home terminal application software designed and developed in this article will lay a solid foundation for the next period of study and function extension.
