As a hidden construction work,pile foundation work has complicated construction procedure, big construction difficulty and high technical requirements, etc. Pile foundation quality will directly affect the stability of the upper structure, so pile foundation inspection work is very important. Pile foundation inspection methods mainly include:drilling core method, low strain, static load test, high strain and sound wave transmission method, etc. With the advantage of easy operation, low cost and accurate, low strain reflected wave method and sound wave transmission method are the most widely used testing methods.This article focused on two kinds of pile foundation detection method in pile foundation inspection, he low strain reflected wave method and sound wave transmission method. Both methods have drawbacks. Integrate two methods can avoid those disadvantages and better guide the pile foundation work, improve the efficiency of defect discriminant and the credibility of the test results. At first, this paper respectively introduces the basic theory of the low strain reflected wave method and sound wave transmission method, after that the working method and data determination are mentioned. Also expounds the testing points for attention and data processing method. Based on some engineering pile foundation inspection as an example, after comprehensive two kinds of detection methods, for the same defect detection. Test results show that low strain and sonic transmission method combined testing can avoid the limitations of single detection, should pass each other on the test results at the same time, improve the accuracy of detection.Finally this paper concluded the following understanding:1, Pile foundation inspection results should be refer to local geological condition and pile foundation construction technology.2, Pile foundation tester shall be familiar with the typical defect waveforms.3, The appropriate excitation equipment in low strain method and whether acoustic detecting tube parallel in ultrasonic testing will have big influence on the testing results.4, Different testing methods can provide different physical properties of pile foundation data and provide more basis for testing work.
