Decorative pattern is the most active form set of traditional Chinese art elementsand aesthetic expression. As one of the most dazzling pearl many historical and culturalheritage, there have been thousands of years of development. In the ancient times, everykind of pattern with the totem, pottery, lacquer,sculpture, and later the wax printing oftextiles, gradually appear. Decorative pattern contains a variety of art forms, forexample, people can through the thinking and practice of concrete reason, the peopleand things in life to imagine and describe, can also through the thinking way ofdevelopment to create artistic decorative patterns patterns and so on, thedecorationpattern and the utility of common.Residential decoration component exquisite beyond compare of precipitation in thedifferent regions, different ethnic groupsliving habits, folk custom and traditionalculture, reflecting the social development and the historical and culturalcontext.Because of Handan special geographical position and natural conditions, thetraditional residential buildings also have speciallocal context based, embodies theartistic characteristics of Handan and a strong tradition of history and culture. Thetraditional residential architecture in Handan, combining thefunction of structure and artbuilding decoration and its members, to the local unique cultural, economic, culture as abasis for the formation of architectural decorative art characteristic, it reflects not onlythe functional needs, also itsaesthetic characteristics show the most incisive.Studied by structural characteristics, the residential component of traditionaldecorative art of Handan, its protection, explore the way of guiding ideology, theprotection and rational use of, make the rich historical and cultural heritage to inheritand develop.
