The Dragon King Worship And Architecture Culture——Research On The Feture Of Dragon King Temple Decoration Art In Shanxi Province

The Dragon King Temple is the important material base of dragon worship culture which is the place for worshiping the water god dragon king. The architectural decoration art of the dragon king temple in Shanxi province is the combination of architectural art of ancient China, culture of dragon king worship and regional culture. It has gradually become a unique and of rich connotation architectural treasures after about1500years development.It is extensively distributed in Shanxi province because the arid climate here. In this paper, I consulted a lot of data concerned first, then carried out practical investigations in Ruicheng, Dongyi, Xiangyuan, Qikou, Lanxian and Yangcheng to collect a large number of picture data of Dragon King Temple and communicate with local people.There I find out many relevant legends about Dragon King worship and other related information. The Dragon King Temple architectural cultural characteristics are analyzed on the basis of investigation, case analysis and comparative analysis, etc. This paper analyses the characteristics of Dragon King Temple in Shanxi in in different Dynasties and different regions.Firstly, summary of the research actuality in and abroad. Second, introduction geographical and humanistic environment of Shanxi and the development of Dragon King temple, introduct the architectural form and architectural layout of Dragon King Temple. Thirdly,through analysis on architectural decorative art, decorative patterns and decorative craft in Dragon King temples, reveal the far-reaching implication of the Dragon King sacrificial culture. Fourth,discussed regional features of Dragon King Temple architecture decoration art in Shanxi province in depth and analyzed the formation of factors. Finally, evaluated the artist value of The Dragon King temple and discussed briefly the heritage and protection methods.The Dragon King temple building decoration art and Chinese traditional decoration art can be traced to the same origin. It is a rich inheritance of the chinese traditional architecture which inherits the Chinese traditional decoration technology and has enriched the architectural art of ancient China content.
