In the present stage, the modern environmental art and design to reflect the need formore good ideas. The use of Western modernist design concepts and techniques, is aneffective environmental art and design creative ways. However, environmental art and design,after all, the West is in accordance with the thinking of Western culture, especially technicalrational thinking to expand since the industrial revolution, and with our national aesthetichabits and ways of thinking there are some differences. Thus, in accordance with theenvironmental work of art designed by Western modernist idea, at this stage of China willinevitably produce "acclimatized" and "adverse reactions." This "adverse reaction",manifested in two aspects, one is the architectural and environmental design convergencedeny the nationalization of aesthetic personality; hand is kind of environmental art worksoften with strong abstract features, difficult to understand and accept as ordinary Chinesepeople. In this situation, the development of an environment suitable for China’s nationalconditions design art, into the traditional cultural elements in the design process, is worthexploring environmental art and design research. Therefore, this study chose the "fusion ofmodern and traditional-On the modern environmental art design elements of traditionalculture" as a research subject, trying to explore the principles and methods of integration ofelements of traditional culture in the modern environment art design.The full text is divided into five parts to carry out. The first part is an introduction toexplain this topic research background, significance, current research, research methods,heavy hard and innovations; second part describes the relationship between environmental artdesign and traditional culture; third part of case analysis as the basis, discusses the use of themodern environmental art design principles of traditional cultural elements; fourth part is stillbased on case studies, discusses the use of creative methods of traditional cultural elements inthe modern environment art design; fifth part is the conclusion of the full text summarizebroad.
