Research Of The Residential Environment Containing The Traditional Culture

The residential environment research, which embodies the traditional cultural connotation, has been carried out in the early eighties of the 20th century. However, due to the reason of the hosing system, residential mode and the single demand etc. It didn't make an abroad social influence. With the formation and perfection of commodity residential system in the 90's, the hosing market is dominant by the "European style" and the "Northern American style", which arouse general disputation. In the early 21 century, with the booming of diversified demand of residence requirement, the hosing developer put a tremendous effort on the "Chinese style" hosing. The thesis draws attention on the comparative study between the current Residential Environment which is under the Market Economy Conditions caused by the diversified residence requirement, and the "European style" or "Northern American style" dominated long ago.The focal methodology adopted in the thesis is the longitudinal/vertical study, lateral correlation and practice correction. The traditional cultural connotation, which is embodied in the residential environment of modern shanghai linong and the "Chinese style" today, has been thoroughly studied, and find that shanghai linong and the "Chinese style" today have some difference in background factors, such as affording the effection of the foreign culture. It is apt to give an objective evaluation to the formation and development of the "Chinese style", and give us some ideas about how to inherit and develop the traditional culture further on the present basis.Based on the detailed analysis about the combination/fusion of residential environment and traditional cultural connotation, the thesis present some design principles on the following aspects: the general layout, environmental design, architectural combination, residence pattern, architectural facade.Through the study of the background and genesis of the "Chinese Style" trends of thought, the thesis provides a valuable objective evaluation for the inheritance and development of the traditional culture.
