Conventional energy not only can’t be used sustainablely, but also can cause environmental pollution. Therefore, human beings are looking for other energy to replace conventional energy. Wind energy is a conversion form of solar energy, it’s clean, renewable, dynamic, inexhaustible and widely distributed. With human demand for energy and the requirements of the ecological environment, wind power development is regarded by many countries.Continously improving the efficiency and quality of the wind power with existing high-tech have a great significance.This paper mainly study the MPPT of direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous engine(PMSG), so as to improve the utilization efficiency of wind energy.This paper based on the basic principle of the wind generator and Betz theory, discussed the characteristic curve of the wind machine, and direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous generator is mathematical modeled. Meanwhile, the paper analyzes the MPPT principle of the VSCF wind power system, which based on the characteristic curve of the wind machine. Due to the Hill-climbing algorithm method is simple and easy to realize, it occupy a major position in the MPPT algorithm. Therefore, for the drawbacks of the fixed step of Hill-climbing algorithm, also, consider on improving the response and the stability of the direct-drive PMSG system to capture the maximum wind power, this paper proposed two improved algorithms. One based on Hill-climbing algorithm, introduced the most optimal gradient method to improve the response speed of system; The other one based on three point comparison algorithm, joined the quadratic interpolation method to improve the accuracy of the system. In theory, this paper proved them feasibility and accuracyFor the double PWM converter of PMSG, which based on vector control technology, analyzes the permanent magnet motor rotor field-oriented vector control strategy and voltage directional control strategy on the net side, which are carried on the modeling and simulation, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of these two control strategies.Finally, the MPPT algorithms are joined into the system to simulate and analysis, the simulation modules realize the wind machine maximum power point tracking control algorithm. Comparing the simulation result verified the improved algorithm track smoothly and has a high efficiency.
