Ultrasonic flow measurement technology is an important branch in the field of flowmeasurement, its application is very wide, not only related to energy, chemical,metallurgical and other large industrial areas, also in environmental protection, watertreatment and other public facilities, and even in the midst of civil instrument can also beseen. The use of ultrasonic technology for flow measurement of the earliest can be tracedback to more than30years ago, but because of the level of basic research and thetechnology of electronic circuits at the time, not towards the road of industrialization. Withthe development of science and technology, the measuring principle of further perfecting,and the production of high-performance integrated circuits, accurate measurement of fluidflow is possible using ultrasonic, now the market has already formed the ultrasonic heatmeter, ultrasonic flow meter, ultrasonic water meter and a series of ultrasonic flowmeasurement instrumentation products, aslo received the affirmation of the industry in themeasurement results. In our country, the application of ultrasonic measuring technologystarted late, in order to follow the trend of the development of the market, a lot ofenterprises and institutions of current researches on measurement of ultrasonic flow, butcompared with foreign famous enterprises in the obvious difference between technologyand industrialization, we need to study hard and catch up.In order to catch up with foreign advanced level as soon as possible, fill the blank ofthe company of ultrasonic measurement products and promote the competitiveness of thecompany, this topic research with the use of existing technical data, combined with its ownresearch and development level, development with independent intellectual property rights,on the basis of the method of time difference measuring principle of ultrasonic heat meterand ultrasonic flow meter products. First of all, through the principle prototypedevelopment and testing, to determine the feasibility of the overall design, and then tocalibration experiment of principle prototype, in the process, using the impedance analyzerand experimental detection means to solve the problem of ultrasonic transducer pairs,using Zero crossing and threshold detection principle to solve the ultrasonic heat metersignal acquisition and algorithm design, temperature compensation for the problem of thetime change with the temperature change, using multichannel layout and energy echosignal amplitude algorithm solve the ultrasonic flow meter volatility, attenuation. In orderto satisfy the industrialization of targets at the same time, in the structure of product design, hardware design and software programming, we must give full consideration to thecompany’s production status and technical characteristics, make products to eventually beable to achieve high performance, high reliability, low cost, large-scale production ofindustrialization goal.
