Amorphous alloy as a new soft magnetic material has excellent electromagneticproperties. Amorphous alloy material which was applied on motor iron core to replace theconventional silicon steel sheet material can significantly reduce the motor iron loss,improve the efficiency of motor, has remarkable energy-saving effect. But amorphous alloystrip is thin, brittle and sensitive to mechanical stress, so the noise is greater than that ofsilicon steel motor. In order to research the vibration and noise of amorphous alloy motor,this paper studies the magnetostriction of silicon steel sheet under the load excitationcharacteristics and establish a magnetic-mechanical coupling mathematical model whichcan describe the relationship between magnetostriction and magnetic field. According to themodel, the vibration and noise of a2.1kW and a11kW permanent magnet synchronousmotor were calculated and analyzed. Experimental results confirm the validity of thenumerical calculation method. Finally, based on the particularity of amorphous alloy motor,considering magnetostriction and overlying effect, the vibration noise of a2.1kWamorphous alloy motor was calculated. Concrete research content is as follows:First of all, based on the linear piezomagnetic equation, the general scalarmagnetostriction equation was given. According to the given one dimensionalmagnetostriction characteristic curve, a magneto-mechanical coupled model is establishedincluding magnetostriction effects. The deformation of motor stator system caused bymagnetostriction can be calculated by means of indirect coupling.Then, the magnetostrictive curve of50DW270silicon steel sheet was measured. Thevibration and noise of a2.1kW and a11kW silicon steel sheet permanent magnetsynchronous motor were calculated by using the mathematical model. The magnetic fielddistribution, deformation of the motor and the acoustic field distribution were analyzed. Bycomparing the calculated results and measured results, the validity of the mathematicalmodel and calculation method were verified.Finally, considering magnetostriction and overlying effect at the same time, themagnetic field, vibration and noise of a2.1kW amorphous alloy motor were calculated andanalyzized. The validity of the proposed method was confirmed by numerical calculationresults and experimental results. The study of influence factors on the vibration and noise ofamorphous alloy motor found that the magnetostriction and overlying has large effect on the vibration and noise of amorphous alloy motor. So when calculating the amorphous alloymotor, vibration noise magnetostriction and overlying effect can not be ignored.
