Nowadays, with the rapid development of cultural, economic, science and technology,the high-altitude and Long-span siamesed steel constructions are widely used in allkinds of large and complicated public buildings. There are many types of technologiesof this kind of construction and the structural deformation and internal forces are due todifferent construction molding sequences. The safety of structure in the constructionprocess is hard to ensure only by conventional design methods. Therefore, themonitoring of the construction process must be carried out. By using the results of finiteelement analysis and construction monitoring for the whole construction process, theconstruction safety and the reasonableness of force can be guaranteed and the designrequirements and national regulations can be met.This paper firstly provides a brief introduction of research on the high-altitude andLong-span siamesed steel constructions and presents the theory of internal forcesanalysis and the problems in the construction process. Then, the design of thehigh-altitude and long-span steel corridor of Huaibei Mining Office Center BuildingProject is optimized on the base of construction control theory, and the constructionprocess using the method of numerical simulation is analyzed. In the latter part of thispaper, we also have discussed the construction monitoring system and method andmonitored the construction process in real-time and dynamically. In this way, the wholeconstruction process of the high-altitude and long-span steel corridor has been dealtwith through effectively construction control. The construction optimization method, thefinite element numerical simulation analysis method and the research and applicationsof construction process monitoring in this paper are extremely important for design andconstruction of similar projects.
